Tests and Results
Your Results
Please check your NHS App or Patchs for test results, if you are unable to do this please call the surgery after 10am when the phone lines are quieter.
Most blood tests and X-ray results take at least a week to come through. Pregnancy tests are usually available after 2 days – please call in person for this as it will not be given over the phone.
We do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect, we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior written permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

Blood Tests
Blood tests are by appointment only, Monday 8.30am to 9.30am, Tuesday to Friday 8.30am to 10.40am. Bring the test form with you.
Results are usually available within a week. Please register with our online services and view your results and GP comments online through our website or download the NHS App onto your smartphone for convenience, alternatively please phone after 11am for results.
Patient Information
If you are having any tests done at the surgery – please note:
- If your test results are normal or stable – we will not be in touch but you are welcome to book a routine appointment to discuss.
- If you have not heard from us after 1 week : Please check the NHS app, patient access or call reception to check if the results that you were expected came back.
Reception staff are not able to comment on any results but will pass on the comment made by the Doctor who reviewed the result
- If your tests results are abnormal and need further action, a message will be send to book an urgent or a routine appointment
- Scan and X results can take 2 weeks- please check with reception or on NHS app to see if we have received the report . Please speak to reception if no results are back so that we can chase this.
We do not receive bloods or scans requested / organised by the hospital - please contact the hospital for these results.
